The history of Montiel began in 1963 when Gonzalo Fernández and Dory de Prado opened their first jewellery and watch store on Calle Mercaderes in Pamplona.

Family business since 1963
The store built up a reputation in those early years for which it is still known today: premium quality, exclusive brands, exquisite in-house designs and a friendly service.
In 1987, the family-run business abandoned the Old Quarter of Pamplona to be reborn as a Boutique on Avenida Carlos III in the capital of Navarre. At this juncture, the sons of Gonzalo and Dory took up the reigns with a view to modernising their premium jewellery and watch collections while maintaining the original essence of Montiel.
This has been reflected in the design of the Boutique itself. The Allende Arquitectos architecture studio has produced spaces in which to present pieces with museum style that can still be felt today as you walk through the doors into the Montiel Boutique.

Montiel is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2023.
